That's how much my replacement license cost me. Can I just tell you that it's killing me that I paid to replace a license I renewed less than three months ago, one that should have lasted eight years?! That's $25.50 spent on lameness, rather than bonus payments toward school debt. Ugh.
Well, the positive spin is that I can drive again and that I was finally able to withdraw the cash we needed from our paycheck that was deposited several days ago. I'm thankful that I had the marriage license the DMV needed. The thought of traipsing across town and paying extra fees for a new one was not causing me any warm fuzzies. In fact, that's what made me cry. It's always some silly little thing that's the final straw.
Anyway, I'm calm, sane, and no longer crying. And I have a license.
However, if my original one miraculously appears in the next day or two then heads are going to roll!! You've been warned.
That didn't sound very sane, did it?

In the car on the way home from town yesterday, we were all playing 'what's grosser than gross?'. Which led to 'what's funnier than funny', 'what's stinkier than stinky', etc. Well, we got around to 'what's annoying-er than annoying'. After a few rounds of that, Ally shut us all up with, "what's annoying-er than annoying? - How Satan tries to get everyone to go to hell with him". Hmmmm, can't top that. Not even spending $25 at the DMV! :)
argh! I was praying you'd find it. We "lost" matt's whole wallet in Seattle, so we thought. Canceled everything, got replacement everything, including driver's license of course- only to find it hidden in the trunk after a few days. I feel your agrivation!!
I was praying for you, that same day Taylor's car wouldn't start so I drove to his work to try and jump it...no luck. I went home thinking it was going to be a major expense, you know...thinking the glass half empty?! After work, he came home and said he just had to buy a new battery. An expense I didn't want, but better than the $400 or so dollars I thought would be coming. I am glad that you at least had a fairly quick ending to the panic. The Lord uses these things to help us trust Him, for sure!
